Project: Ehushu

Ehushu started in 2005 as hand-drawn surreal illustrations of a space alien living and interacting amongst a human family on Earth. The story and characters were developed further for a short experimental 2D animation titled Space Alien Ehushu, completed in 2006.

Using techniques of hand-drawn animation combined with digital colouring and compositing as well as 3D, the animation works as an opening title sequence to a hypothetical anime series called "Space Alien Ehushu." The aim was to hint at aspects of the series and its characters without delving too deeply into the story.
